We are dedicated to developing a meaningful, dynamic and vibrant expression of Judaism for ourselves, our children, and the community. Congregation Beth El serves as a center of Conservative Judaism for San Diego by promoting Jewish religious and intellectual life throughout the lifecycles of its members. We see ourselves as a choosing people, constantly searching for what is right, good, and true. We are proud of our heritage and yet appreciate that there are truths about life found outside it. We value the wisdom of our sages, we bask in our literature, and we seek continuously "To renew the sacred and to sanctify the new."

We reach out to the entire spectrum of the Jewish community because we believe that Judaism's greatest value lies in between the extremes.
